Mission
Creating future by turning threats into opportunities
Improving social life and economic conditions making use of combating and controlling runoff and flooding, developing energy and infrastructure, finding solutions to support local societies and protect the land.
Water shortage in arid and semi-arid regions is resulted from low rainfall and its improper distribution. Drought wounds are getting deeper every year in the southeast of the country. It's a long time that water shirtage in Sistan and Baluchistan, as the most extensive province of Iran, where water supply sources are not sustainable, has been a crisis. Such that the alarm for water shortage crisis has been sounded in most parts of this region. Therefore, it seems necessary to make solution in order to compensate the economic and social consequences.

Meanwhile, due to its geographical location, this province is affected by the various atmospheric currents such as Indian Ocean monsoons.
Indian monsoon rains in the south of the province cause extensive damages to the infrastructure every year.
Indian monsoon rains in the south of the province cause extensive damages to the infrastructure every year.
The world's attention has been drawn to the updating some traditional methods as a solution in recent decades, which besides being simple and cheap, are also reliable.
Rainwater harvesting is one of the most significant management techniques to deal with water shortage, which is rapidly developing in under-pressure areas.
Regarding to the geological and climatic conditions of southeast Iran, especially Sistan and Baluchistan province, one of the most important measures is storing water in natural reservoirs. This green solution has many advantages including reduction of damages resulted from floods by an average of USD 35 million per year, solving problems related to the wastes in the water desalination project, preserving biological diversity of the region, no necessity for desalination and pumping stations, supplying water for drinking, industry and agriculture sectors.
One of the best areas for water storage and flood prevention in Sistan and Baluchistan province is Chahan double syncline that is located in south of Chahan thrust in the northernmost part of Makran Coast in which evaporation rate is lower than the surrounding plains, water storage is better and fully meets the region's need for dam construction.

Runoff is conduced gravitaionally towards syncline in most of the route without necessity for modifying the route or pumping water. Only in two segments, it is necessary to drill trenches in order to conduct the flood into the reservoir.
Barsadshid-e-Iranian Company has started studies in South Baluchistan region to combat and conduct mentioned floods making use of innovative and environment-friendly methods. It is hoped that through implementing mentioned project, a fundamental step to be taken in providing necessary water for drinking, agriculture and industry purposes in this underprived area. With the provision of sufficient water, the construction and operation of various industries and the implementation of new and modernized agricultural plans, prosperity and prosperity of the region will be achieved that may play a significant role on people's lives and the development of South Balochistan region.
